Wisdom Nugget: Principle of The Seed

The Principle of the Seed

Listen to this! A farmer went out to scatter seed…
When they were alone, the people around Jesus, along with the Twelve, asked him about the parables. He said to them, “The secret of God’s kingdom has been given to you, but to those who are outside everything comes in parables.

Mark 4:3,10-11

Jesus replied His disciples in Mark 4:13. “do you not understand this parable”? How then will you understand all the parables”. This therefore tells us that the principle of the seed is a critical key to making it in the Kingdom of God.

Now what is a seed?

  • Anything God has given you
  • Anything you have control over to give
  • Something or anything God showed you
  • Something God is requesting of you
  • Something you are looking for

The beauty of the seed principle is that the quantity of harvest is always more than the number of seeds sown. Your seed may exist as thoughts, acts, time, skill, resources etc. Different kinds of seed produce different kinds of harvest but THE SEED OF ALL SEEDS is the Word of God.

For a seed to grow, it has to be placed in a ground. The ground is that environment and atmosphere that can receive seed and nurture it until it translates to harvest. Not every ground is good for every seed!

The ground of all grounds is your recreated human spirit.

Note therefore that anything that will get into your life will come through your spirit; i.e. through your heart. That is why there is a struggle for the ownership of your heart.

When God wants to give you things, His first desire is to plant His seed in your heart which are His words. This is a principle of the kingdom: to establish God’s kingdom in your life, you have to plant God’s word in there. By doing this constantly, you will have an ongoing kingdom system running in your life which produces a kingdom life.

The Word of God not only contains power to create kingdom life but also possesses the power to reverse and stop death

The quality of life you will enjoy on this Earth is determined by how well you work. You can either choose to live solely on results gained from your sweat (which connotes living under the curse Gen. 3:19) or by your harvest from God’s words Matt. 4:4 (this is the kingdom life). Choosing to live from the harvest of God’s words means that you now do your everyday life like going to work, doing business, raising children, securing your health and lots more; guided by His spirit in an atmosphere that has been saturated with God’s words which commands Kingdom life even in the midst of this wicked world.

Whatever you have right now is a harvest of a seed sown in the past; you only need to sow the right seed to activate the right things in your direction.

Choose the latter and your life will be filled with exploits!

See you next time
