Wisdom Nugget #6- Identifying the Enemy

It is a grievous error to call an enemy a friend and some people never recover from it.

Don’t ever get to a place that you don’t recognize who your enemy or friend is. To be ignorant of your enemies means the devil has hatched a great scheme against you. Only foolish people leave an enemy unheeded. God doesn’t want His people to do the same. In the Bible, we see that Nehemiah identified his enemies and finished his assignment of rebuilding the walls in 52 days, despite enemy threats.

The enemy’s ultimate goal is to stop everything good in your life, including the purpose of God for your existence. He also wants to initiate evil against you, but you must make up your mind that the devil will not stop any good thing that God has started in your life.

Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ.

Philippians 1:6

God is never involved in failed projects; He is a finisher, and He wants you to become a finisher also. To operate among the class of finishers, you need to develop the eye that recognizes the enemy and not call the enemy by another name.

Let God define men for you because He knows men more than you could ever do. If God says someone should not go with you on a journey of life, business, friendship or courtship, you better respect it or bear the consequences alone.
