God holds you responsible for how you spend your time
Look carefully then how you walk. Live purposefully and worthily and accurately, not as the unwise and witless but as wise (sensible, intelligent people). Making the very most of the time (Buying up each opportunity) because the days are evil. Therefore do not be vague and thoughtless and foolish but understanding and firmly grasping what the will of the Lord is.
Ephesians 5:15–17 AMP
If you weigh your life in the light of the scripture above, how balanced is it with the scripture? Can you be described as someone living a life with a due sense of responsibility? Is life meaningful and purposeful to you? Are you making the best use of your time?
God is not miserly with time. Everybody has an equal amount of time and what each person ends up becoming will be determined by what each person does with the time given him or her, “To everything there is a season. A time for every purpose under heaven.” Ecclesiastes 3:1.
You do not have time to do just everything because
“to every purpose there is a time”
What makes a thing beautiful and appealing is that you have done it at the time allotted for it to be done. After that, another purpose stares the person in the face.
But the tragedy of life is that we find people utilizing what is meant for one purpose in another. So, life becomes a complexity of confusions for such people.
God wants us to make the best use of our time but the devil deceives people to waste their time doing the wrong things at the wrong time because he wants to delay and hinder people in life.
The secret of purpose is in identifying that one thing that is needful for your life.
The Bible makes us to understand that Mary pursued that one thing–the pursuit of wisdom, the Word of God. That does not mean that Mary was not good in the kitchen or that she was not taking care of her home and her children, but all these things can become distractions when they are not done when they are supposed to be done.
You cannot separate purpose from time, neither can you become a woman of purpose without the ability to utilize time rightly
In fact, one of the things that easily destroys purpose in the lives of people is their wrong use of time in poor time management, time usage and time investment. What makes us different from one another is not that God created us with different brain capacities; it is simply in how we use and invest the time at our disposal differently.
I pray that you will be blessed of God with the grace to invest your time rightly in Jesus name, Amen.
